Suico set for Japan training!

World Boxing Council no. 10 lightweight Randy Suico of the Philippines is set to depart for Japan for May 4 for a two-week training in Tokyo as he prepares for his May 27 duel with Thailand's Pongpetch Chuwatana for the vacant OPBF lightweight title.

The Suico-Chuwatana bout is tentatively scheduled in Manila, says promoter Rex "Wakee" Salud.

Suico and trainer Juanito Ablaca are scheduled to secure their Japan visa on Friday at the Japanese Consular office in Cebu City.

Nicknamed "Komong Bato," Suico is also set to see action on July 2 underneath the Manny Pacquiao-Oscar Larios title showdown opposite a Mexican foe.
