Highly-touted Devin Haney (L) of Las Vegas dished out a dominant performance knocking down erstwhile undefeated Alfredo Santiago of the Dominican Republic in the 5th round to defend his WBC world lightweight title at the Staples Center Saturday night (Sunday in Manila).
Haney (24-0-0, 15KOs) won all rounds from the scorecards of Karen Holderfield, Alejandro Rochin, and Zachary Young 120-107.
Santiago (12-1-0, 4KOs) connected in spurts but not enough to sway the judges to give him a round.
