Ryan Garcia (L) and Romero Duno.
WBO-NABO Lightweight Champion Romero ?Ruthless? Duno (W21 KO16 L1 D0) finally got his wish and will fight American star ?King? Ryan Garcia (W18 KO15 L0 D0). The bout will serve as the co-main event under the Canelo-Kovalev card on November 2 at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.
Duno called out Garcia right after he dominated Ivan Delgado. ?I wanted this fight so badly. Not because I underestimate Ryan but because I know it will give the fans a great show. This is the make or break kind of fight. This is the kind of opportunity I?ve been waiting for my whole life. Ryan?s record speaks for itself. He is a very gifted fighter but I will give everything I got just to win this fight. I have a feeling I will be the underdog for the odds makers but that doesn?t bother me. We both have fists and they will do the talking. Thanks to Golden Boy and Sanman for this break,? Duno stated.
Duno is set to return to the US and start his training regimen in Las Vegas.
