SHAKUR STEVENSON OUTHUSTLES DIAZ

Olympic Silver medalist featherweight Shakur Stevenson (11-0, 6KOs) was not matched against a "soft touch" opponent tonight. He faced off against Christopher Diaz (24-2, 16 KOs) who was trained by future Hall of Famer Freddie Roach. Shakur used his speed and boxing ability to outhustle Diaz, but Diaz still made it a competitive fight even though Shakur was the superior fighter.The fans in the arena apparently expected a knockout early and expressed their displeasure of not getting it by booing Shakur in the 10 round. At the post fight interview in the ring, Shakur was booed while being interviewed when he said he wanted to fight all the champions and that he is the "smartest fighter in boxing". All judges scored the fight for Shakur.
