Qingdao, China- Froilan Saludar of the Philippines faltered after a torrid start and succumbed to the brutal body shots of WBO flyweight champ Sho Kimura of Japan. Saludar started well, with hard jabs, excellent movement, tagging Kimura with hard right hands. But the tide turned in the 3rd, Kimura pummelled the Filipino with head shots. Body shots weakened Saludar, who went down once in round 5, then down again in round 6. Referee Chris Flores of the US stopped it at 0:54 of the sixth.
