GABALLO WINS BY KO IN U.S. DEBUT

Filipino prospect Reymart Gaballo made a splash in Hawaii with a second round knockout win over Mexican Ernesto Guerrero in a fight held today in Honolulu.

?I am very happy to win in my U.S. debut.? Gaballo stated in a message to philboxing. ?I will continue to work to reach my dream to become a world champion.?

The 21 year old Gaballo fights out of the Sanman Gym of Gen. Santos City. His record is now 17-0,15KO?s.

?Gaballo was very impressive tonight. With more experience and training I?m very confident he will be world champion soon,? Sanman Promotions CEO JC Managquil told philboxing in an e-mail message.

Gaballo spent time in Florida training with Cuban coach Moro Fernandez. Last year, Gaballo, nicknamed the ?Gensan Assassin? stopped Thai Manut Corput in a single round to win the vacant WBC ABCO super bantamweight title in Tupi, South Cotabato.

Guerrero drops to 27-22,19KO?s. The card billed as ?Fight Night at the Island? was presented by Filipino international boxing promoter Gabriel ?Bebot? Elorde.
