Jade Bornea.
JADE Bornea will be putting his immaculate slate on the line in another installment of the highly successful boxing series "Brawl at the Mall" scheduled on July 23 at Robinsons Place Atrium in General Santos City.
In the card dubbed as "Collision Course," the 22-year-old Sanman Boxing Gym stalwart will trade leathers with Nicong Calamba (7W-24L-4D, 4KOs) as Bornea guns for a successful outing before taking on a much bigger fight in September.
"He is in a must-win situation because for his next assignment in September, he will defend his IBF youth superflyweight belt," said Sanman Promotions chief executive officer Jim Claude "JC" Manangquil.
Bornea, who is managed by Alex Amoy and promoted by Sanman Promotions, is a off to a 7-0 start as a pro with four of his victories coming by way of knockouts.
The upcoming card will be headlined by another Sanman fighter Engelbert Moralde, who will take on Jestoni Makiputin.
Parading a 9W-5L-0D, 6KOs record, Moralde will try to put an end to two straight losses, while Makiputin is eyeing for a second straight victory.
Moralde has been experiencing some sort of a drought as he last tasted a win in September 10, 2016 via a unanimous win over Jun Eraham at the Tupi Municipal Gymnasium in Cotabato del Sur.
The fight card will also feature Ben Mananquil (13W-1L-2D, 3KOs) versus Kim Lindog (5W-4L-1D, 4KOs); Eden Sonsona (36W-7L-2D, 13KOs) versus JP Macadumpis (11W-9L-1D, 5KOs); Dave Apolinario (1W-0L-0D, 1KOs) versus Elizer Ambon (0W-1L-0D); and Mark Antonio (1W-0L-0D, 1KO) versus Jeffrey Diale (debut).###
