KELL BROOK, ERROL SPENCE JR. TO CLASH IN ONE OF 2017'S MOST ANTICIPATED BOUTS
SATURDAY, MAY 27 5:15PM ET / 2:15PM PT SHOWTIME.
The first world title fight of Errol Spence Jr.?s promising career will be a tall order.
The 27-year-old top contender will fight on foreign soil today at 5:15 p.m. ET / 2:15 p.m. PT on Showtime, taking on defending IBF 147-pound champion Kell Brook in his hometown of Sheffield, England.
Spence (21-0, 18 KO) will attempt to do what no other 147-pounder has been able to do in defeating Brook (36-1, 25 KO). Brook won the belt via Majority Decision against Shawn Porter in August 2014 and has successfully defended it three times. Spence earned his way to the title shot with two vicious knockout performances in 2016 vs. Chris Algieri and Leonard Bundu.
Tonight?s winner will be in line for major bouts moving forward in the loaded welterweight division against the likes of unified champion Keith Thurman, Danny Garcia, Porter and a host of others.
