The first ?Rumble? event of Cebu's Omega Pro Sports International (OPSI) originally scheduled this Saturday in Talamban, Cebu has been moved to Cawayan, Masbate on Mar. 18, OPSI has informed the media.
In a statement, OPSI president Pio Paulo Castillo said, ?There was a clamor to bring topnotch boxing to Masbate and we decided to stage the first Rumble event in Cawayan in partnership with Mayor Ramon Abinuman. We are taking the boxing roadshow to Cawayan, complete with the entire boxing set-up for which OPSI is known.?
Headlining the event is Omega Gym's Jhaleel Payao (14-1, 11KOs) who will face Jason Tinampay (8-3-1, 7KOs) for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation bantamweight title.
In the supporting main event Omega?s Jimboy Haya (9-3-2, 7 KOs) takes on undefeated knockout artist Ken Jordan (4-0, 4 Kos).
A special attraction pits Ming Hong Lee of Taiwan vs. Wilfredo Ruta of Compostela, Cebu.
Masbate boxers will also see action in the event that is being staged by OPSI in partnership with Cawayan Mayor Ramon Abinuman.
