LOS ANGELES -- All five of San Antonio's starters scored in double figures on Friday night as the Spurs beat the Los Angeles Lakers, 116-107, at the Staples Center.
LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard each had 23 points, Pau Gasol and Tony Parker tallied 15 apiece while Danny Green added 10 for the visiting Spurs, who improved to 10-3, third best in the Western Conference.
San Antonio jumped to a 26-16 lead in the opening quarter and unleashed a 39-point third quarter run to take a 91-76 bulge entering the fourth quarter. The Spurs ended up shooting 56.4 percent from the field (44 of 78) while the Lakers managed just 44 percent from the floor (39 of 87).
Lou Williams led the Lakers with 24 off the bench. Nick Young registered 22 whil Jordan Clarkson accounted for 20 points in 31 minutes of relief play. The Lakers dropped to 7-6 and will host the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
