LOS ANGELES -- The L.A. Clippers kept their hold of the league's best record following a 127-95 rout over the visiting Brooklyn Nets at the Staples Center on Monday night.
Chris Paul drilled 8-of-11 field goals to finish with 21 points and he directed the offensive flow by dishing 9 of his team's 32 dimes. Fellow All-Star Blake Griffin swished 20 markers and hauled down 6 boards while J.J. Redick added 18.
Raymond Felton and Jamal Crawford combined for 28 off the bench for the Clippers, who lit up the field by hitting 48 of 90 shots, including 14 of 25 from 3-point territory. The Clips also sank 17 of 21 free throws and out-rebounded the Nets, 43-37.
"We have a singular focus. No excuses. We said we're going to come out the same every night. It's all about playing the right way. We got to keep building," Chris Paul told reporters after the Clippers notched their seventh consecutive win.
Bojan Bogdanovic (14 points) and Sean Kilpatrick (13 points) led Brooklyn's charge, but the Nets fell short after making only 34 of 77 shots (44.2 percent) and 10 of 33 triples (30.3 percent).
Besides losing the assists battle by 14 (32-18), Brooklyn did not take care of the ball, creating 21 turnovers against the Clippers' 11.
