LOS ANGELES -- The defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers opened their preseason in style on Wednesday night, blasting the Orlando Magic, 117-102, at the Quicken Loans Arena.
Second year guard Jordan McCrae stole the limelight with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the Cavs, who darted off to a 68-42 halftime lead. Cleveland finished the game shooting 53.2 percent from the field (42 of 79).
The Cavs Big 3 didn't have to do much for the Cavs as LeBron James tallied 7 points and 6 rebounds. Kevin Love pumped in 8 while Kyrie Irving did not play.
Jeff Green topped the Magic with 19 markers. Orlando dropped to 0-2 in exhibition play.
