NBA PLAYOFFS -- Valanciunas, Raptors bounce back to topple Pacers in Game 2

TORONTO -- ​Jonas Valanciunas ​scored 13 of his team's 27 first quarter points to help the Toronto Raptors beat the Indiana Pacers,, 98-87, on Monday night at the Air Canada Centre.

Valanciunas, who had 12 points and 19 rebounds in Game 1 tallied ​23 points and 13 rebounds as the Raptors tied their best-of-7 series at one game apiece. Game 3 shifts to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Thursday.

​Toronto's All-Star backcourt of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan struggled again in the first half of Game 2 where they combined for just a total of nine points.

In the fourth quarter, Lowry would end up playing with the bench players to open the game up with a 15-5 run that would eventually lead to the routing of the Pacers. Lowry finished with 11 points and DeRozan with 14 points.

Cory Joseph led the ​Raptors ​bench with 16 points and 3 assists while Patrick Patterson provided additional spark with 14 points and 4 rebounds. At the end of the night the Toronto bench out scored the Pacer's bench 45-33.

Game 3 will be played in Indiana on Thursday - April 21, 2016
