The manager of newly-crowned IBF miniflyweight kingpin Florante Condes plans to hold his first defense in the country sometime October this year.
Aljoe Jaro, in an interview, revealed that if Muhammad Rachman is interested, he might be tapped to challenge Condes in the Philippines to give him a chance to avenge his split decision loss to the Filipino banger.
Condes had dethroned Rachman last July 7 right in the latter's home turf in Jakarta, and this time, Jaro wants to know if Rachman would also be willing to come to Condes' turf in the rematch.
Condes, meanwhile, received good support yesterday from Uni-East president Rogelio Angeles who gifted the new champ with cash reward and a cellular phone unit as a tribute to his victory.
Jaro and Condes visited Angeles yesterday at the latter's office in Cainta, Rizal.
"I am thankful for this support. It just shows that there are also people who appreciate my efforts in giving honor to our country," the young champion said.
