To give way to his upcoming world title fight, the Games and Amusements Board, headed by Chairman Eric Buhain, has seen it fit to re-schedule a hearing on Rodel Mayol's complaint against his manager Yasuo Matsuoka to August 20, 10AM at the GAB's legal divison in Makati City.
Mayol has an upcoming world title crack on August 4 against IBF junior flyweight king Ulises Solis at the AllState Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
The very talented Mayol had earlier asked the GAB, in his formal complaint, to sever ties with his manager Matsuoka owing to the latter's failure to give him fights.
Buhain, a former swimming champion himself, expressed full support to Filipino fighters seeing action in world title bouts, and was present at the victory celebration of newly-crowned IBF minimumweight champion Florante Condes at the world-class Thunderbird Resorts in Binangonan, Rizal.
Also present at the victory celebration hosted by Condes' manager Aljoe Jaro was GAB boxing division chief Nasser Cruz, who personally welcomed Condes upon arrival at the airport last July 9.
