TABUGON FALLS SHORT AGAINST HERNANDEZ

San Luis Potosi, Mexico - Filipino Raymond Tabugon fell short of his goal of winning in his Mexican mission losing to Juan Hernandez via TKO in the 6th round.

From the opening bell the Mexican Hernandez controlled the tempo using every inch of the ring. Switching from orthodox to southpaw, Hernandez was a puzzle to the young Filipino Tabugon to solve.

Experience played a big factor for the seasoned Mexican as he appeared to be calm and composed throughout the bout. Tabugon on the other hand seemed stiff and lost and fell to almost every trap the Mexican called Churritos set up.

This was Tabugon's first trip to Mexico and saw his 6 fight winning streak ending. Hernandez improved his record to W29 L 3 D 0 while Tabugon added another L to his record standing at W 17 L 4 D 1.

After the fight Juan Hernandez mentioned wanting to face off with Roman Gonzalez and mentioned longest reigning Filipino world champion Donnie "Ahas" Nietes of the famed ALA Promotions International as possible opponent in the future.

This was a promotion by Oswaldo Kuchle's Promociones Del Pueblo of Mexico and by Televisa Deportes.
