NBA -- Bucks gore Wolves in Madison showdown

MADISON -- ​Under siege and trailing 50-48 ​after two quarters of play, the Milwaukee Bucks went on a 35-17 third quarter run to overwhelm the Minnesota Timberwolves, 106-88, at the Kohl's Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

Khris Middleton​ led all Bucks scorers with 17 points while Greg Monroe, a coveted addition during the offseason, registered 15 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Carter-Williams had 16 points and Giannis Antentokounmpo contributed 12.

​ Milwaukee, shot 50 percent from the field (41 of 82) and got 11 points each from Chris Copeland and ​John Henson.​ Milwaukee improved to 2-3 in the preseason.​

​ ​The Timberwolves, ​who were badly out-rebounded, 53-35, were led by Shabazz Mohammad who finished with 18 points. Gorgui Dieng and Andrew Wiggins added 15 and 14 points respectively, but the Wolves dropped to 1-5 in preseason action. ​
