The IBF has just shot down plans by Filipino manager Aljoe Jaro to promote the Muhammad Rachman-Florante Condes IBF title fight.
Jaro had earlier petitioned the IBF to bring the fight to the Philippines, after the Indonesian organizers could not seem to make a final date for the fight.
"The fight has been moved to July 7, 2007 in Jakarta , Indonesia," IBF championship chairman Lindsey Tucker told Jaro.
"You cannot promote the fight in the Philippines because Warriors won the Purse Bid," Tucker added, reminding Jaro of the purse bid winner.
Jaro, in an earlier interview with this writer, said that he has some friends and supporters who would be more than willing to assist him to promote the fight in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Jaro also said that he might ask the Indonesian organizers to refund him of the training expenses he incurred due to the numerous postponements of the fight.
