The New Jersey-based International Boxing Federation (IBF) has officially sanctioned this week the upcoming titular challenge of Filipino mandatory challenger Florante Condes against its world minimumweight champion Muhammad Rachman on June 16 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
IBF Championship Chairman Lindsey Tucker, in an email to Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing, the winning bidder for the bout, which was forwarded by Condes' co-manager Dante Ortiz, has informed that the sanctioning body is officially sanctioning the bout between the two world class fighters.
"The IBF has given formal sanction approval for the IBF Mini Flyweight Championship mandatory defense fight between Champion Muhammad Rachman and Florante Condes. The bout is scheduled for June 16, 2007 in Jakarta, Indonesia," Tucker's letter stated.
