NBA -- Teague's 27 helps Hawks cool Heat

MIAMI - The Atlanta Hawks broke a close game wide open with a 25-10 third quarter run to beat the Miami Heat, 112-102, on Wednesday night at the American Airlines Arena.

Jeff Teague had 27 points and six assists for the Hawks, who shot 75 percent in that decisive third quarter. Kyle Korver drilled 3 threes for a total of 18 and Dennis Scroder added 16.

The Hawks shot 40 of 74 field goals overall and improved to 11-6.

"A good win. I thought the bench came in and gave us some good stretches," Atlanta head coach Mike Buldenhozer told reporters after the win.

Despite shooting a very high 56.3 percent from the field (36 of 64), the Heat dropped to 9-9.

Dwyane Wade finished with 28 points and seven assists and Chris Bosh chipped in 27 and 11 boards. Mario Chalmers added 19 and 11 dimes. (RG)
