NBA -- Rose says latest injury is "minor"

CHICAGO -- Derrick Rose suffered a hamstring injury in the Chicago Bulls' 100-93 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night at the jampacked Air Canada Centre.

But the 6-foot-3 superstar point guard told reporters after the game that the setback is a "minor" one.

"I guess it's cramps in my hamstrings. But I think it's minor, and they decided to pull me out," the 2011 NBA MVP said. "I don't think it's that serious. Just ice it, stim, see if I can practice (Friday) and give it a go Saturday."

Despite being pulled out in the final 1:53 of play, Rose finished with 20 points and four assists. He made only five of 14 field goals, but he was nearly perfect from the free throw line, going 9-for-10.

Despite a torrid Raptors comeback late in the contest, the Bulls eventually prevailed, 100-93, and improved to a 7-2 record to lead the Eastern Conference.
