Former WBO/WBA flyweight super champion champion Brian Viloria?s training camp is going well in preparation for what Viloria described as ?a keep busy? fight in Glendale, California on December 6.
Viloria told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that they are likely to finalize details with an opponent ?by the end of this week.?
Viloria is training at the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach in Los Angeles under Roach?s talented Filipino assistant Marvin Somodio.
The former two division world champion said training has been ?real good and we are on track.?
At the same time when asked about a possible future showdown with two-time Chinese Olympic champion Zou Shiming which had been mentioned some time ago by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, Viloria replied, ?I never look past my next opponent.?
Viloria lost his title to tough Mexican Juan Francisco Estrada by a split decision in an excellent fight at the Cotai Arena in Macau on April 6, 2013 and has longed to avenge that defeat in a rematch.
In his first bout after the loss to Estrada, Viloria scored a unanimous ten round decision over Juan Herrera on March 29 this year and followed it up with a rousing 5th round knockout of Jose Alfredo Zuniga last July 19 in Macau.
The 33 year old Viloria, a two division world champion has a record of 34-4 with 20 knockouts.
Viloria (L) does the mitts with trainer Marvin Somodio at the Wildcard Gym in Los Angeles.
