BABY ISRAEL By Eddie Alinea PhilBoxing.com Tue, 29 Apr 2014 Fighting Sarangani Congressman Manny Pacquiao and his wife, Vice Gov. Jinkee have been blessed with their fifth child, which the Filipino ring hero considers a "gift from God." Jinkee gave birth to a baby boy to be named "Israel" last Sunday afternoon at the General Santos Doctors Hospital. The child, healthy and big weighing 8.1 pounds, is the third boy in the brood of five who was delivered via caesarian section. "Jinkee, myself and our family, our four other children, thank God for the safe delivery of Baby Israel, who we hope to raise as a good Christian, having been named after the Holy Land, which is the birth place of our Lord Jesus Christ," Pacquiao said in a telephone interview on the night of the boy's birth. Paquiao was referring to sons Emmanuel Jr. (Jimwell) and Michael and daughters Princess and Queen Elizabeth. "Like our four other children, Baby Israel will be well taken cared off and, as he reaches his school years, will be enrolled in topnotch schools so he will become a good citizen of our beloved country and an asset to society," Pacquiao told this writer. "Definitely, Baby Israel will be an additional inspiration for Jinkee and myself to further serve our people as government servants and Christianity as servants of our faith," the only man to win 10 world championship belts in eight weight divisions and four lineal titles, assured. Baby Israel's birth came exactly two weeks after the Pacman beat erstwhile undefeated Timothy Bradley to win back the World Boxing Organization welterweight crown. "To God be all the Glory, Hallelujah!" he said of Israel's coming. Coming in the heels of that victory, his second straight following a near career-ending boxing career in 2013, which also saw him knocked out by Mexican arch-enemy Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao said his fifth child's coming will also serve as additional motivation for him to continue fighting if only to give inspiration to his countrymen that there's still life after defeats and adversities. "Lke I said after winning over Bradley, tuloy and journey natin tungo sa pagbibigay ng pagasa sa ating mga kababayan at yung maliliit na tao sa buong mundo na hindi natutulog ang Panginoon na tutulong sa atin na umangat tayo sa kabila ng maraming kabiguan sa buhay at kapighatiang dinadanas natin dala ng sakunang dulot ng bagyo, lindol at iba pang dagok ng kalikasan," Pacquiao proclaimed.
