LORETO WINS PABA TITLE

Rey "Hitman" Loreto has won the WBA Pan Asian Boxing Association light flyweight interim title with a ten round technical decision over Pornsawan Porpramook at Siam Park in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 22 year old Loreto won when the referee was forced to go to the scorecards of the three judges after Porpramook suffered a cut in an accidental clash of heads and was ruled unfit to continue at 1:01 of the tenth round.
Two judges had Loreto the winner by margins of 88-82 and 86-84 while the third judge saw it even at 85-85.
Ranked No. 7 by the Games and Amusements Board in its July ratings, Loreto was coming off a 7th round technical split decision loss to Benezer Alolod last March 16 also due to a nasty cut following an accidental clash of heads.
The 35 year old Porpramook dropped to 28-6-1 with 17 knockouts after his loss of the Interim title to Loreto which the Thai won by a 5th round technical decision over another Filipino, Jayson Rotoni last June 18.
The reigning PABA champion is world-ranked Randy Petalcorin.
