WICKED LIVER SHOT WINS FIGHT FOR ALEJANDRO PEREZ

PhilBoxing.com

Inglewood, CA :- Fighting before a very diverse group of boxing fans who crowded the showroom at the Hollywood Park Casino, Alejandro Perez (18-3-1,12KO) of Salinas proved that he was worthy of being re-signed by the Top Rank Promotions.

Just a few hours ago, fighting on the main event and live on Solo Boxeo TV presented by Top Rank with the cooperation of Bash Boxing and Art of Boxing Promotions, Perez landed a well placed liver shot on the very experienced wily veteran from Mexico City, Edgar ?Basura? Riovalle (35-15-2, 25KO) in round 7 and ended their fight.

Perez at the start of the fight tried to immediately assert himself firing well placed shots highlighted by overhand rights. However, having been in 35 fights before tonight, Riovalle certainly knew what to do and at times scores many well placed shots as well.

In round four, a clash of heads produced a cut on the right eyebrow of Perez but it was literally a non-issue as the cutman of Perez knew exactly how to handle the issue.

Then early in round 7, during a furious exchange, Perez landed a very well placed sharp left hook to the liver area of Riovalle. It shocked Riovalle and after a short delayed reaction, he fell on his knees. Eventually, he rolled over on his back still in deep pain and he failed to beat the count of referee Lou Moret.

The end for Riovalle came at 1:14 of round 7.

With the victory, Perez will for sure head straight to the greener pastures ably led by the folks at Top Rank Promotions. Indeed, a fitting reward for Perez who for years waited so patiently for his chances to shine on the square ring.

Towards the end of round two, Ao scored a short hand plush on the jaw of Paredes dropping him for an 8-count from referee Wayne Hedgepeth. When the fight resumed Ao went all out forcing Hedgepeth to call off the fight at 2:51 of round 2.

In a shocker that caught many fans unprepared, light-heavyweight Trevor McCumby (12-0-0,10KO) annihilates Reynaldo Rodriguez (6-7-1,3KO) of Providence Rhode Island in 29 seconds in round leaving some fans who were at the beer line to ask ?what happened. Is the fight done??
