CUELLO STARTS SPARRING FOR WORLD TITLE CHALLENGE

Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello started his heavy sparring sessions Tuesday for his challenge against WBC world strawweight champion Xiong Zhao Zhong of China scheduled on June 28 at the Dubai World Center in Dubai, UAE (above poster).
Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed philboxing that Cuello had a total of 24 rounds of light sparring and had eight rounds of heavy sparring against stablemates former WBC world flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro and Lionel Legada.
Cuello?s regimen is geared towards finishing 120 rounds of sparring on June 22. Lionel Legada will see action on the undercard and will face Zhong?s stablemate Xiang Jing.
Aljoe Jaro was also upset with the result of Ryan Rey Ponteras? fight in Okinawa where the Filipino boxer was declared the loser due to a ruling ?defeat by foul blow? because his opponent turned his back.
Jaro is asking for prayers and support from the Filipino boxing fans for Denver?s successful world title shot to usher in another world champion for the country.
