?Hercules? next RP boxing superstar? By Dennis U. Eroa PhilBoxing.com Mon, 29 Apr 2013 TRUE to expectations, Jun ??Hercules?? Doliguez had no time to prolong the agony of his foe last Saturday at the Agoncillo Gym in Barangay Subic, Agoncillo, Batangas. Touted as the boxer most likely to bring back the luster in Philippine boxing, Doliguez flattened Arlon Batingal in the first round of their bout. The provincemate of Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao used his devastating left hand to take the lights out of Batingal, who laid flat on his back for several minutes. Naturally, Saved by the Bell Promotion president and youthful sportsman Elmer Anuran was delighted with Doliguez?s devastating victory. The native of Malungon, Sarangani, improved his record to 16-0-1, including 12 knockouts. ??Jun?s power is tremendous,?? said Anuran, also owner of the Touch Gloves Boxing Gym in Agoncillo. ??He?s being avoided by so many prizefighters because of his power.?? Doliguez also decked the likes of battle-grizzled Eric Rapada, Ciso Morales and Ariel Delgado. Atlanta Olympics silver medalist Onyok Velasco, who watched the action at ringside also noticed Doliguez?s power. ??Doliguez list of knockout victims will grow,?? said Velasco. Anuran believed that his ward will get the world title someday. He was relentless in arranging a title bout with former IBO featherweight champion Daud Yordan of Indonesia. But the planned title clash did not materialize as Yordan suffered a stunning 12th round knockdown against South African Simpiwe Vetyeka (24-2-0) last April 14 at the Jakarta Indoor Tennis Stadium. To hone his skills, Anuran, who inked a pact of cooperation with world-class Zanfer Promotions, said Doliguez will leave next month for the United States. He will also train under Nacho Beristain at Tijuana, Mexico. ??I think Jun?s going to have one fight in the US before figuring in a very important bout. Zanfer is a tremendous help,?? said Anuran.
