CUELLO AND JARO GEAR UP FOR OSAKA
By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Mon, 01 Apr 2013

WBC top strawweight contender Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello Singwangcha and former WBC flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro are all set for their April 7 bouts in Osaka, Japan. Cuello will face Takashi Kunishige in what could very well be his last fight before he goes for world 105 lb division title against the winner of the May 3 bout between WBC champion Xiong Zhao Zhong of China and Carlos Ortega of Panama.
Promoter Aljoe Jaro told philboxing that WBC President Don Jose Sulaiman has pushed through with the plan that there should be official signings made by the parties concerned regarding Cuello?s mandatory title shot so that he will be the next challenger to the winner of Zhong vs Ortega. Jaro said that the title will be declared vacant if the winner of the May 3 bout will not face Cuello.
Sonny Boy Jaro on the other hand will have his first bout since losing his world crown by split decision to Toshiyuki Igarashi in Saitama, Japan. He is penned to face Hiroyuki Hisataka. Team Jaro has set their sets on the WBA super flyweight title held by Kohei Kono of Japan.
Aljoe Jaro is confident of his fighters? conditioning. He added that both are very hungry; Sonny Boy wants to be a world champ again and Denver has been itching to finally nab the elusive title shot. They are in a must win situation this Sunday in Osaka?s Bodymaker Coliseum. This bout presented by Kameda and Jaro Promotions will be shown on GMA TV.
