“THIS FIGHT IS BIG!”

PhilBoxing.com

This is what ALA Promotions CEO and President Michael Aldeguer revealed to the members of the media, referring to the Nietes- Fuentes fight for PINOY PRIDE XVIII “World Champion vs World Champion”.

Speaking at the Presscon for Pinoy Pride XVII at St. Mark Hotel, Cebu City he added that “this is the first time that we will be bringing in a reigning world champion to the Philippines for a world title fight with another reigning world champion, both at their peak!”

He also highlighted on ALA Promotion’s plans for the future and its various activities that are lined up for this year. He was joined by WBO Light Flyweight World Champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes, Asia Pacific Super Bantamweight Champion, Genesis “Azukal” Servania and Jimrex “the EXECUTIONER” Jaca. ALA Gym trainers Mr . Edito Villamor and Edmund Villamor were also at hand to show support. ALA Promotions unveiled to the members of the press during the confab the official fight card for the upcoming Pinoy Pride XVIII which will be held on March 2, 2013 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

The media took turns in asking the boxers and their trainers on their thoughts and views about their fights and opponents. The boxers were in good spirits and gladly answered the questions that were thrown at them. The members of the media asked about PINOY PRIDE XVIII, both curious and intrigued about the magnitude of the sporting event.

Occassional light moments were also shared as everyone seems excited and eager for the mega-fight offering. Later in the day, the group took turn in posing for photo opportunities with the boxers.

After that, the crowd was treated with a scrumptious buffet from the host of the Presscon, St. Mark Hotel. The boutique hotel, which has a sleek, classy ambiance was the perfect setting for the press meeting. St. Mark Hotel’s top honchos led by its owner Mr. Quito Farrarons, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Alex Pimentel and Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Enrique “Chip” Farrarons, all avid boxing enthusiasts, were also present to take part in the occasion.
