GUMBAN VS TABAMO IN TAGBILARAN CITY

Superflyweight prospect Melvin Gumban (12W-0L, 6 KO's) will risk his unbeaten record against Marjhun Tabamo (8W-1L-1D, 2 KO's) in the ten round main event of a seven bout professional boxing card at the Island City Mall Carpark in Tagbilaran City,Bohol on February 23.
The 22 year old Gumban hails from Escalante City, Negros Occidental. Last December 16, he knocked out tough veteran Louie Bantigue in a single round in front of his hometown fans at the Escalante City Coliseum.
Tabamo's only career loss was at the hands of Marco Demecillo of the RWS Gym when they fought for Demecillo’s Philippine superflyweight title. Tabamo was stopped in four rounds in that fight held last September 25, 2012 in Iligan City.
Also set to fight on the undercards are Roma Rate vs Macrea Gandiongco (10 rounds), Arjan Canillas vs Godwin Tubigon (8 rounds), Pedro Balaba vs Royroy Sumugat (8 rounds), Lito Dante vs Michael Enriquez (6 rounds), Brian Lobitania vs Romano Gelig (4 rounds) and Richard Barrios vs Manuel Dosol (4 rounds). This card is part of the continuing partnership of Cobra Energy Drink and ALA Promotions.
