ALJOE JARO GRATEFUL IF WBC GIVES CUELLO A TITLE SHOT
By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Tue, 08 Jan 2013

Promoter Aljoe Jaro is hopeful that things will turn out for the best for his prized fighter Denver ‘The Excitement’ Cuello.
“If Don Jose Sulaiman can make the push that Cuello will challenge Xiong Zhao Zhong, then I am sincerely thankful. I feel that I am indebted to Mr. Sulaiman and the WBC if they can make this happen.” Jaro said in his e-mail to philboxing.
This was Jaro’s reaction to an article written by Ronnie Nathanielsz which was posted on philboxing last January 7 that WBC President Sulaiman will recommend that mandatory challenger Cuello fights WBC world minimumweight champion Zhong next instead of a planned voluntary defense by the Chinese champion against a still unnamed fighter reportedly in Las Vegas.
“I understand that for the past few weeks feelings were hurt. I was hurt, I know they were too. But I hope everyone understands that I am only looking after Denver’s welfare. ” Jaro added. “ I will be grateful to the Mr. Sulaiman and the WBC if Cuello will get his title shot.”
