NBA -- Warriors lose overtime thriller to visiting Lakers
By Joan Secuya-Medida PhilBoxing.com Sun, 23 Dec 2012

Oracle Arena, Oakland CA -- A classic division match-up ended in disappointing fashion for the home team, as the Golden State Warriors fell short in a high energy thriller at Oracle Arena.
Los Angeles Lakers beat the Warriors 118-115 in overtime.
Lakers extended their winning streak to four, led by Kobe Bryant who posted a double double... scoring 34 points and 10 rebounds. Metta World Peace added 20 points off the bench. Steve Nash had 12 points and 9 assists in his return, but none bigger that the step back shot he converted for the final points in overtime to seal a win over the Warriors.
The game featured 20 lead changes, seven of which took place after the close of the 3rd quarter. Stephen Curry's potential game tying 3 pointer in the final second was off the mark.
The loss squandered an otherwise brilliant night from Jarrett Jack who came through with 29 points, 11 assists. David Lee contributed 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Stephen Curry finished with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
Warriors have 3 days off before returning to action on Wednesday in Salt Lake City to face the Utah Jazz, while the Lakers awaits for their blockbuster match up on Christmas Day against the New York Knicks. (JSM)
