?Hercules? waits for the moment By Dennis U. Eroa PhilBoxing.com Wed, 05 Dec 2012 JUN Doliguez, Hercules of Pinoy boxing, is ready to fight reigning International Boxing Organization Daud Yordan of Indonesia. Things are expected to be finalized by the end of the year after the camp of Yordan thoroughly studied the tapes of Doliguez?s past bouts. This is the latest twist in the planned title defense of Yordan next year against Doliguez, who is still unbeaten in 15 fights. The Indon star described Doliguez of Touch Gloves Boxing Gym as one of the Philippines? top featherweights. Sportsman and Saved by the Bell Promotions president Elmer Anuran said he had already reached preliminary agreement with the Dragon Fire Promotions which is being credited for popularizing boxing in Singapore. ??Dragon Fire and SBB want the fight but the Indon camp wanted to see Doliguez?s bouts in video before inking a contract,?? said Anuran, who is also the founder of party-list ALA-EH, which aims to discover future sporting heroes from the grassroots. Earlier, Doliguez, a provincemate of ring legend Manny Pacquiao, expressed enthusiasm on the projected title fight. ??I dream to be a world champion someday. I look forward to fighting Yordan. I wait for that moment,?? said the 5-foot-7 Doliguez, who trains under the watchful eyes of veteran Benny dela Pena. Doliguez is presently WBO Oriental titleholder. ??If things will go on as planned, the title fight will happen March at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore,?? said Anuran. Yordan has an impressive 30-2, 23KOs record. He won the IBO title by demolishing Lorenzo Villanueva in a bruising match last May. Click here to view a list of other articles written by Dennis U.
