Yordan-Doliguez fast shaping up
By Dennis U. Eroa PhilBoxing.com Mon, 26 Nov 2012

DON’T look now, but the Daud Yordan-Jun Doliguez title bout is fast shaping up.
The reigning International Boxing Organization featherweight titleholder has been very vocal in saying that Doliguez of Touch Gloves Boxing Gym is a worthy foe.
For his part, the provincemate of ring legend Manny Pacquiao said he’s ready to mix it up with the Indonesian boxing superstar.
Sportsman and Saved by the Bell Promotions president Elmer Anuran said he had initial talks with Angleo Hyder, Chief Executive Officer of Dragon Fire Promotions, and matchmaker Patrick Kennedy.
‘‘Nothing is definite yet but we have a very enthusiastic talk. I think Dragon Fire and SBB know that it’s going to be a blockbuster fight. Both Yordan and Doliguez are powerful boxers,’’ said Anuran, who is also the founder of party-list ALA-EH, which aims to discover future sporting heroes from the grassroots.
Anuran said Hyder is excited to finalize things. Dragon Fire is credited for bringing boxing to Singapore.
Yordan successfully defended his crown recently by beating Mongolian Choi Tseveenpurev at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Yordan has an impressive 30-2, 23 knockouts record. He crowned himself IBO king by demolishing Filipino knockout artist Lorenzo Villanueva May 5 also in Singapore.
‘‘If things will go on as planned, the title fight will happen March,’’ said Anuran.
The 5-foot-7 Doliguez said he is thirsting to fight for the world title.‘‘My dream is to become a world champion,’’ said Doliguez, who is training under the watchful eyes of veteran Benny de la Peña.
