Dave Pe?alosa,Eden Sonsona face Thai boxers in Mandaluyong

Former two-division world champion and Promoter Gerry Pe?alosa will showcase his nephew and up and coming superbantamweight prospect Dave Pe?alosa (4W-0L, 2 KO?s) this August 18 in a televised fight card held in Mandaluyong City. He is set to fight Yodpichai Sithsaithong (7W-5L, 3 KO?s) in a six rounder.
The 21 year old Pe?alosa turned pro last year and is the son of former two division world champ Dodie Boy Pe?alosa. Together with brother Dodie,Jr, they have started to make waves as pros. Last April, Dave knocked out Jumar Torreon in the second round in a fight held in Mandaue City. Three months later he beat Jonathan Ligas by six round unanimous decision.Dave will be fighting a foreign opponent for the first time.
Also featured in this card is Eden Sonsona (28W-6L, 8 KO?s) who will fight Petchnamnung Sithsaithong (9W-2L, 7 KO?s) in a ten rounder. Sonsona has won twice since losing to Jonathan Oquendo in Puerto Rico two years ago. The Gensan southpaw known as ?Mr. Showboat?? beat Eman Labanza and Godwin Tubigon in fights held in Cebu.
This boxing event by GERRYPENS PROMOTIONS will be aired live on AKTV13, Aug. 18 at 9-11PM.
