WBC Silver minimumweight titlist Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello joined WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and company jogging at Griffith Park early morning May 14 (L.A. Time). Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed philboxing that Pacquiao was impressed that Cuello was able to stay with Pacman?s punishing pace.
?Tuwa naman si Manny sa nakasabay nya si denver dahil talagang sumabay sa kanya sa takbohan.? Jaro said.
Cuello also fights under the name Denver Cuello Singwangcha as homage to his sponsor, Thai boxing patron Naris Singwangcha. Jaro said they will have a session at the Wild Card gym before leaving for Mexico late in the evening May 14. Cuello will face Ganigan Lopez of Mexico in Guanajato this May 19 (May 20 Manila Time) in a WBC eliminator for the right to be the mandatory challenger of Kazuto Ioka of Japan.
