BACON VS TUBIGON IN PANGLAO, BOHOL
By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Fri, 03 Feb 2012

The furious action of professional boxing clashes with the tranquil and beauty of the island of Panglao this February 18 when James Bacon fights Godwin Tubigon in a ten round non-title bout.
Bacon (19W-3L, 13 KO?s), who fights out of the ALA Gym, won the Philippine super featherweight title last July 29, 2011 in Lapu-lapu City by knocking out Elmer Legaria in one round. But Bacon suffered an upset in a non-title bout in Zamboanga City last November and lost by TKO in the second round to Richard Olisa. Tubigon (7W-4L-1D, 3 KO?s) fought at the Lapu-lapu City Hoops Dome last October and lost by seventh round TKO to Eden Sonsona.
Set to appear in the undercards are Fernando Otic of Bantayan Island vs Ricky Sismundo of Tagbilaran City (10 rounds), Zaldy Aroa of Bantayan island vs Lubert Bayo of Mandaue City (8 rounds), Ralph Lulu of Sultan Kudarat vs Rocky Sismundo of Tagbilaran City (6 rounds), Sherwin Paro of Mandaue City vs Reymond Tabugon of Misamis Oriental (4 rounds) and Jeffrey Segara of Toledo City vs Gabby Simpo of CDO (4 rounds).
The fights will be held at the Panglao Town Plaza.
