Sandoval Singwangcha beats Honor in Siaton By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Mon, 28 Nov 2011 Siaton, Negros Oriental - Marlou Sandoval Singwangcha (7W-0L-2D, 3 KO?s) remained unbeaten in front of his cheering hometown fans by scoring a unanimous decision win over Roel ?Kokoy? Honor of Butuan City. Sandoval knocked Honor down in rounds one and four and continued to land the more effective punches throughout the eight round non-title main event held Sunday at the Mayor Apolinario Quisay Gymnasium in the municipality of Siaton, Negros Oriental. The journeyman Honor leaned on his vast experience ? having fought and lost to Filipino world title challengers Johnriel Casimero, Rommel Asenjo, Jether Oliva and Edrin Dapudong ? to survive Sandoval?s onslaught but he still suffered his fourth loss this year and drops to 6W-28L-2D. The scorecards read 78-72, 80-70 and 79-72. Sesustener Llanera Singwangcha of Bais, Neg. Oriental won by TKO in the first round against Honey Boy Vidad of Siquijor. A powerful right sent Vidad staggering and glassy eyed before he was hit by another flurry of punches sending him down in his own corner. Referee Ben Necessario immediately stopped the bout at the 2:36 mark. Jayson Redondo Singwangcha of Ormoc City utilized a steady body attack to win by unanimous decision against the gritty Andelou Adajar of Butuan City after 6 rounds. The scores were 60-54 for all three judges. Jonathan Francisco of Davao City beat Renjie Sabanal of Siaton by 4 round split decision. Francisco knocked down Sabanal briefly in round two but it was a closely contested brawl the rest of the way. The scorecards of two judges read 38-37 for Francisco and one judge scored 38-37 for Sabanal. In the opening bout of the evening, Lyndel Radoc of Siaton won by unanimous decision over Arnel Caoktoy Singwangcha of Ormoc City in a four rounder. The scores were 39-37 for all three judges . The event also had amateur bouts featuring amateur standouts from various barangays in Siaton. This boxing promotion was sponsored by Naris Singwangcha of Thailand, the local government of Siaton and Rex ?Wakee? Salud Promotions.
