Pe?alosa,Jr and Kiatpracha Gym make weight

Cebu City ? Dodie Boy Pe?alosa,Jr and The Thai Tornado Kong Kiatpracha Gym both weighed 122 lbs during the official weigh-in held Friday afternoon at the Sports Exchange Bar and Grill. Kiatpracha (5W-8L-1D, 2 KO's) is also a well experienced Muay Thai practitioner and could make things difficult for the unbeaten Pe?alosa,Jr (5W, 5 KO's) this Saturday at the Mandaue City Sports Complex.

One of the more interesting match-ups in this fight card is the Pan Asian Boxing Association (PABA) jr.flyweight title bout between Gen. Santos City natives Randy ?Razor? Petalcorin (13W-1L, 12 KO?s) and Michael Rodriguez (12W-29L, 3 KO?s). Petalcorin, the champion, weighed in at the division limit of 108 lbs while Rodriguez stepped in at 107 lbs.

This card will be a homecoming fight for ?Batang Mandaue? Rodel Mayol (28W-5L-2D, 21 KO?s), who will face Jayson Rotoni (12W-9L-1D, 7 KO?s) of Metro Manila. Last May 22, 2010, Rotoni won by fifth round technical decision over Arnel Tadena at the same Mandaue City Sports Complex. They will fight at a catchweight of 114 lbs. Mayol has his eyes set on WBA flyweight champion Hernan Marquez. Mayol weighed 114 lbs and Rotoni stepped in at 109.5 lbs.

Jimrex Jaca (33W-6L-3D, 18 KO?s) weighed in at 150 lbs while Philip Jun Demecillo (6W-14L-1D, 2 KO?s) of Davao City weighed 160 lbs. Demecillo will be penalized by wearing heavier gloves on fight night. He will also will have his hands full against the southpaw Jaca who is on a five bout winning streak, stopping Ramadhan Weriu of Indonesia (KO5), James Kimori of Kenya (TKO 4), Pipino Cuevas of Mexico (KO1), Hao Han of China (TKO6), and Filipino Arnel Dunal (TKO3).

Also seeing action are world ranked Eden Sonsona (124.25 lbs) vs Eman Labanza (123 lbs), Renren Tesorio (106 lbs) vs Jaime Bermiso (105.5 lbs), Anthony Sabalde (119 lbs) vs Christian Saga (117 lbs) and Marvin Tampus (120 lbs) vs Jestoni Pepito (121 lbs). The boxers also had their routine pre-fight physical examination. The weigh-in was supervised by Celso Miranda and Glenn Agena of GAB-Cebu.
