POSTSCRIPT:

The original battle of Mactan happened in 1521. A local chieftain named Lapu-lapu routed the Spanish forces under the command of Ferdinand Magellan. Tyson Cave will try to avoid a similar fate.

The host city for PINOY PRIDE VII bears the name of the famous chieftain. A popular species of Filipino fish is also named after him. Magellan's name is more prominent in world history and a space probe to the planet Venus was named ater him.
