SALUD DENIES INFLUENCING PACQUIAO ON MICHAEL KONCZ

CEBU CITY -- Pacquiao friend and confidant Rex 'Wakee' Salud has denied an article that came out at Fighthype.com saying that he had convinced the eight division champ to retain Koncz as adviser.
"I haven't talked to Manny about it," Salud told PhilBoxing.com after reading the story. "In fact I haven't talked to Manny these past few days. Like everyone else I am also an interested bystander in this unfolding drama."
Asked what is his take on the matter, Salud said that "if Koncz is really guilty of all these allegations, then he should go. But if he is innocent, I don't find any reason why he should not be retained as Manny's representative in America."
There were reports and a press release saying that Michael Koncz has been terminated as Pacquiao's advisor due to the mishandling of Pacquiao funds and or having an unexplained income coming from Top Rank. Pacquiao however denied that he had terminated Koncz's services when interviewed by several Philippine media outfits.
