Bert ?The Ninja? Batawang and Ana ?The Hurricane? Julaton fight for country and glory in separate venues Sunday morning (Manila Time).

Batawang, who fights out of Cebu City, will face former IBF lt.flyweight champ Ulises Solis of Mexico in an IBF title eliminator in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. The winner is scheduled to face current IBF champion Carlos Tamara of Colombia.

The 38 year old Batawang (45 W -14 L- 3 D , 37 KO?s) is a twenty year pro and won last November the vacant WBO Asia Pacific lt.flyweight title by stopping Jack Amisa of Indonesia in 5 rounds. The 28 year old Solis (29W- 2L-2D, 20 KO?s) was a world champion for three years before he lost his title to Brian Viloria by 11th round KO last year. Solis stopped Batawang in nine rounds during their first encounter in 2007.

Batwang weighed in at 107.5 lbs during the official weigh-in while Solis weighed 108 lbs. Their fight will be held at the Gimnasio Oscar ?Tigre? Garcia.

In Ontario, Canada, Julaton will face Lisa ?Bad News? Brown for the WBA Female Super Bantamweight title. The 39 year old Brown (16 W-4 L-3 D, 5 KO?s), is from Trinidad and Tobago and currently based in Toronto.

The 29 year old Julaton (6W-1L-1D, 1KO) is based in Daly City,California. She aims to be the undisputed best 122 lb female boxer on the planet. She is currently trained by Nonito Donaire,Sr.

Last September 14, Donaire was in the corner of Julaton when she beat Kelsey Jeffries to win the IBA superbantamweight belt. She made history by becoming the first female Filipino-American to win a world title.

The fight billed as Rumble at Rama XI will be held at the Casino Rama, the site of Marvin Sonsona?s two title fights in Canada last year. Philippine TV coverage of Julaton vs Brown is courtesy of GMA 7.
