Filipino Reymond Yanong, Chinese LeQuan Wang Make Weight for WBC Asia Battle in Highland Show in Thailand

PhilBoxing.com

BANGKOK, Thailand -- Experienced, hard-swinging Filipino super lightweight Reymond "Robocop" Yanong (11-7-1, 9 KO's), and unbeaten, taller, younger Middle Kingdom warrior LeQuan Wang (7-0, 4 KO's), made weight for their ten-chapter collision for the WBC Asia Continental Super Lightweight Strap.

The title fight is one of the featured battles for the Highland Boxing Promotion set to thrill boxing fans on Wednesday, February 25, at the luxurious SpacePlus Night Club in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Philippines' GAB Chairman Atty Richard Clarin oversaw Tuesday's official weigh-in ceremony, confirming successful weights of 63.4 kilos for his Kababayan, and 63.6 kilos for the Middle Kingdom warrior, both men looking strong, in superb shape, ready to battle out their crucial clash.

After back-to-back losses in Las Vegas and South Africa, this is the golden chance for the 29-year-old Yanong to bounce good with a big BANG win.

The war has been approved as a 10-rounder, a distance that Reymond already knows.

However, for the less experienced LeQuanr Wang, the rumble will be his first ten chapters war. The most Le Quan has fought has only been six rounds. Is that and advantage for the Pinoy born in Negros Occidental?

Most importantly, will Reymond Yanong - inspired by the stunning world title win of Pinoy compatriot Melvin Jerusalem in Japan - seize the Wednesday in Thailand by dominating and defeating the strong, yet untested 23-year-old LeQuan Wang?

Or will the confident Middle Kingdom fighter stun the tough Pinoy, making him bite the dust? What is your guess?

The war will air live in Thailand as well as in China on Weibo and Kuaishou. Luckily, fans outside Thailand may watch this fight, as well as the whole show, live from the free streaming link in the promoter Highland Boxing Promotions Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Sounds all good? The evening of entertaining boxing in Thailand has been put together by award-winning Filipino promoter/matchmaker Brico Santig, director of Highland Boxing Promotions, in association with China's # 1 Boxing Promoter Liu Gang of Maxpower, Thai man of boxing Supanat Chanram and SpacePlus boss Tony Chen.

May the Best Men Win!
