Ocampo to face Lorenzo in Polomolok

WELTERWEIGHT Jose “The Bomber” Ocampo of Sarangani will face Guillaume Lorenzo of France on June 8 in Polomolok, South Cotabato.
Ocampo lost to world-rated Jay Ar Inson of Davao City by a split decision last February 27, 2021 at Bula Gym in General Santos City.
But earlier, Ocampo beat Pabli Martin Barboza of Argentina by a unanimous decision last October 8, 2016 at the USC Soviet Wings in Moscow.
Ocampo, a southpaw, has 20 wins, 14 loses, one draw with 13 knockouts.
Lorenzo, on the other hand, has seven wins, four setbacks with four knockouts.
He also suffered a split decision loss to Mohamed Suleiman Kartoum last October 23, 2021 at Halle Aux Sports Carcassonne.
Lorenzo earlier had four wins in the Philippines. His last fight was a victory by retirement in the 2nds round against Kim Lindog of Bukidnon last December 2, 2019 in General Santos City.
Pitted in the main supporting bout are Ian Sampan against Pablito Canada.
Jim Claude Manangquil of Sanman Promotions is the promoter.
