Amit Stops Moya, Wins Filipino PBF SuperFly Belt Saturday in Naval, Biliran Province

With a vicious attack to the mid-section, 26 year-old Naval fighter Salatiel Amit of the Wild Boxing Stable overpowered Cebuano Margarito Moya to win the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) SuperFly Title Saturday night (Sep 29) at Naval Sports Complex in Biliran Province in Central Visayas.

The taller Margarito Moya tried to box from a distance using his height and reach advantage, but the stronger Amit kept on cutting his exits while delivering high caliber blows on the 23 year-old Moya, who has the face of our Lord Jesus Tattooed on his chest.

In the third chapter, a well-placed punch to the body badly hurt Moya, seating him down on the canvas, where veteran third man Teddy Alivio delivered the full count of 10.

It was a rewarding KO win for Salatiel Amit who come back to the winning circle after three consecutive loses. The official was 1:16 in round 3.

In the co-feature, "The Thunder" Peter Apolinar (9-1, 6 KO's) displayed superior boxing skills over unheralded Jason Tinampay (8-11-1, 7 KO's) of Bohol to record a 6-round unanimous decision win. The scorecards from the three judges were identical 60-54 in favor of the 23 year-old Aplinar, a fighter the Cebu's Wild Boxing Gym.

In another clash, Cebuano Super Flyweight Audie Dacua (4-1, 3 KO's) of the Big Yellow Boxing Gym, stopped heavier Boholano Mark Anthony Rotilles (2-3, 1 KO) in three rounds. The winner Dacua, 20, is trained by experienced coach former fighter Jingjing Tepora.

In the most competitive battle of the evening Rolly Dorong (1-1-, 0 KO's) of Mandaue outpointed tough Pablito Balidio (2-1, 0 KO's) of Danao to score a 4-rounder unanimous decision win. Both boxers entertained the crowd in Navay, both having their good moments, however, Rolly Dorong was more consistent, proving to be the more skilled fighter.

Plus, Misamis southpaw Rhonvex Capuloy (1-1, 0 KO's) overpower Boholano Jonas Quigao (0-2, 0 KO's) via TKO. The referee was Teddy Alivio and the official time was 2:10 minutes in round three.

This boxing event in the Municipality of Naval in Biliran Province was sanctioned by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB), supervised by experienced Cebu Officials Arlene M. Olondriz, Rolando "Lando" Mendoza and Glenn Sonido Agena.

Ring physician was Dr. Christopher D. Casas of Naval. GAB Timekeeper was Larry Balanay of Cebu. GAB Ring Officials: Teddy Alivio, Arnel Pasion and Nicholas "Nic" Banal.

Billed as "Fight in Naval," the event was part of Naval's entertaining activities in celebration of their yearly Fiesta. These days Naval celebrates its 158th Town Fiesta in honor of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary on Oct. 5 ? Oct. 6, 2018.

The promoter of the successful boxing show was John and Jossel Wild of the Wild Boxing Gym in Cebu, in association with Jesse Jordan Garcia Casas and the support of Congressman Rogelio J. Espina, Governor Gerardo J. Espina Jr. and Mayor Gerard Espina.
