Complete Weigh-in Report: Ambo, Ligas Set to Rumble for LUZPROBA-118 Title Saturday @ Quibors Gym in Bacoor, Cavite (PHOTOS)

PhilBoxing.com

Ambo and Ligas Make Weight.

In an exciting battle of power-punchers, unbeaten Joseph Ambo (6-0-1, 5 KO's) of Pangasinan weighed in at 116 pounds, while hard-striker Bienvenido Ligas (6-0-1, 4 KO's) of Caloocan, Metro Manila, made 114 lbs., for their 8-rounder duel for the Luzon Professional Boxing Association (LUZPROBA) Bantamweight Belt Saturday (June 23) at Quibor Boxing Gym in Bacoor City, Cavite, an action-packed rumble that no boxing fan in the area can afford to miss.

In the 10-rounder co-main event, 20 year-old Jules Victoriano (8-1, 5 KO's) of Iloilo tipped the scales at 127 pounds for his fighting-job against experienced tough-looking Gensan-born warrior Landy Cris Leon, 26, who scaled-in at 130 lbs. and is likely that this rough war will not last the ten chapters.

Denmark Quibido and Dexter Dimaculangan.

in the chief supporting bout, undefeated southpaw Denmark Quibido of Misamis Oriental and unheralded late-sub Dexter Dimaculangan of San Pablo, Laguna, both made 112 lbs for their 8-chapter rumble in the flyweight division.

Also, Jessel "The Axeman" Guardario, 24, of Negros Oriental made 118 pounds, while Jayar "Dominator" Diama, 23, of Valenzuela City, Metro Manila, scaled-in at 119 lbs for their 8-round action.

Francis Jay Diaz and Paoly Sy.

In Jr. flyweights, 20 year-old Cagayan del Oro native Francis Jay Diaz (4-1-1, 0 KO's) tipped the scales a bit heavier at 110 lbs., while Bacolod-born Paoly Sy, 22, came-in at 107 lbs. The contracted weight was 108 lbs in the Jr. Flyweight division. Still, the 6-rounder fight is a go.

Moreover, unbeaten local Bacoor fighter ArAr Andales, 18, and fighting partner Lemuel Lausa, 21, of Makati both made 106 lbs for their 6-volume encounter of knuckles.

In the heavier fight of the card, "Heavy Boogie" Kristian Hernandez made 146 pounds while 23 year-old Janie Canoy of Gensan stepped-on five (5) pounds lighter at 139 lbs. The taller, heavier Hernandez has the physical edge on Canoy, though Canoy does not care about that at all.

Also, Kevin Aseniero of Cagayan de Oro came-in five (5) pounds heavy at 118 lbs while Ernesto Mino Jr. made 113 lbs. The contracted weight for the 6-rounder is 115 lbs.

Another Cagayan de Oro fighter, Julbirth Tubiano, 24, recorded 119 lbs in the GAB scale for his war against Francis Gonzales of Camarines Sur, who stepped-on a heavier and was ordered to reduce weight. The contracted weight for their 6-stanza skirmish is the limit of the bantamweight division. Fighters did not pose for face-off, they wait for Saturday.

The GAB man-in-charge for the exciting Battle in Bacoor, Cavite, is Supervisor Rafael Diokno.

Joseph Quibral of Quibors Boxing Promotions Inc.
