Who?s Next? 3 to be Aired on Sunday
PhilBoxing.com Sat, 21 Jan 2017

The main event fights of the Who?s Next 3 Pro Boxing Series powered by Hyundai Tucson will be aired on television on Sunday, January 22. Airing time is from 4 -6pm over GMA News TV.
In the main event of the fight card of Omega Pro Sports International (OPSI), Jhack Tepora goes for the vacant WBO Oriental super bantamweight championship against Galih Susanto of Indonesia. In the supporting main event, Kenny Demecillo defended his WBF Asia Pacific bantamweight championship against Jestoni Autida while the upcoming Christian Araneta squared off against Philip Luis Cuerdo in a non-title.
Who?s Next? 3 was held last month 2 at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex before a good-size crowd of around 2,500. The fights served as a litmus test for the three boxers vis-?-vis their readiness to move in the world rankings.
Tepora and Demecillo are set to defend their regional belts in ?Who?s Next? 4? slated in March, while Araneta will fight for a regional title also in WN4. Their performances served as a gauge for their next fights and to see where they rate in their divisions.
For his part, OPSI President Pio Paulo Castillo said that they were happy and thankful for the turnout of the event which thrilled the fans with exciting fights. ?We are very grateful to have GMA as a partner in only our third edition of the Who?s Next? Pro Boxing Series. The quality of the fights have met expectations and we look forward to bigger fight cards this year.?
Negotiations are now underway as OPSI prepares for a fight event in February and "Who?s Next? 4" in March.
