NBA -- McDermott's 5 triples help Bulls cruise past Pacers, 118-101

CHICAGO -- Doug McDermott swished 5 threes on the way to 23 points and the Chicago Bulls to a 2-0 start following a lopsided 118-101 win over the visiting Indiana Pacers on Saturday night at the United Center.
The Bulls employed a balanced assault to topple the Pacers, who dropped to 1-2 after three starts. Jimmy Butler tossed a solid 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists while Dwyane Wade checked in with 14. Rajon Rondo, an off-season acquisition like Wade, finished with a modest 6 points but the former All-Star ran Chicago's offense fluidly with 13 assists.
"I always tell those guys to understand that "if you don't think I see you, I probably see you, so be ready for the pass," Rondo said after pocketing 22 assists in two games.
Besides their big guns, the Bulls got 12 points apiece from big men Robin Lopez and Taj Gibson. Chicago shot a high 52.3 percent from the floor and led comfortably entering the fourth quarter, 92-67.
Paul George and Myles Turner registered 20 each to led Indiana. Joe Young and Glen Robinson III chipped in a combined 22 points off the bench.
