WNBA Finals -- Lynx knot title series at 1-1
By Daniel Quindao Guden PhilBoxing.com Thu, 13 Oct 2016

MINNEAPOLIS - The fear of falling behind the championship series 0-2 spurred 2014 MVP Maya Moore into beast mode on Tuesday night at the raucous Target Center here in downtown Minneapolis.
Moore registered a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Minnesota Lynx to a 79-60 drubbing of the Los Angeles Sparks. Moore also added 3 assists and 2 steals to her haul, much to the delight of 12,832 home fans.
After playing poorly in Game 1, the Lynx turned the tables in Game 2, where the Sparks struggled with their shooting while their main weapons -- 2016 MVP Nneka Ogwumike and Candace Parker -- got into early foul trouble.
After a slow start in which they only led 18-14 in the opening quarter, the Lynx jumped to a 39-25 halftime advantage. The Sparks rallied with 21 points in the third quarter but the Lynx won't be denied as the team dropped 25 more markers in the fourth period.
Seimone Augustus had 14 points for Minnesota while Sylvia Fowles contributed 13 points and 15 rebounds.
"I think we had a better understanding of our spacing tonight"
Moore said during her post game press conference.
Ogwumike led the Sparks with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Alana Beard chipped in 13.
Game 3 of there WNBA Finals is Friday night in Los Angeles.
"We've got a lot of people who haven't been here, so there's a lot of things we can learn and we'll just get ready for Friday (Game 3)" Sparks head coach Brian Agler told reporters.
