Ancajas transfers training camp in Tanay ahead of his IBF world title-fight on April 16 By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Thu, 31 Mar 2016  FILIPINO challenger Jerwin ?Pretty Boy? Ancajas of Davao City has transferred his training camp at the gym of his own trainer-manager Joven Jimenez in Tanay, Rizal. ?Okay naman at maganda ang training ni Jerwin dito sa Tanay training camp namin,? said Jimenez in a text message. Ancajas (24W-1L-1D-16 KOs) has been sparring with Daver Gabutan and upcoming young fighters in Tanay. They first transferred from Davao to Cavite two months ago. Ancajas is slated to challenge International Boxing Federation (IBF) world super flyweight champion McJoe Arroyo of Puerto Rico on April 16 at the Strike Coliseum in Bacoor, Cavite. The world title-fight is promoted by the MP Boxing Promotions International in cooperation with international boxing promoter Sampson Lewkowicz. "Mga 85 to 95 percent na siya na sa condition," said Jimenez. The 24-year old southpaw had two fights last year. He first scored a 9th round knockout against Juan Purisima at the Lagao Gym in General Santos City last May 30. Ancajas was then waiting for a title eliminator but that did not push through. Ancajas, a former PAN Pacific super flyweight champion, previously scored a first round knockout against Paul Apolinario in the final and 13th edition of the Tibay ng Pinoy Boxing Promotion held last Nov. 13 at the Philippine Navy Gym of the Bonifacio Naval Station in Taguig City. Arroyo (17-0, 8 KOs), who is from Fajardo, Puerto Rico will be making his first mandatory defense against Ancajas The 30-year old Arroyo, also a southpaw won the championship last July with a 10-round technical decision over Arthur ?King?
